Product description
King Robert II is a blended whisky brand from Ian Macleod Distillers portfolio.
The brand was developed by William Maxwell Ltd, the company acquired by Ian Macleod in 1968. Little is known about Robert II formula but since Ian Macleod owns Tamdhu Distillery one can expect that Tamdhu malt plays some role in the blend. The annual sales of Robert II exceed 500,000 cases and show tremendous growth (over 20% in recent years); the brand is sold in over 40 countries. Robert II Blended Scotch Whisky (the core expression) won the 2007 International Wine & Spirits Competition category for non-age stated best blended Scotch whisky.
