The Ultimate Whisky Company is a Dutch company based in Amersfoort.

Founded in 1994 by Han and Maurice van Wees, the company initially specialised in miniature editions. Their whiskies are bottled without chill filtration, either in cask strength or at 46% ABV. Since 1994, over 1,000 editions have been released under the “The Ultimate” banner. The Pulteney presented here was distilled on 27 May 2008 and aged in bourbon cask no. 800004 for over 14 years. The whisky was bottled at 46% ABV in August 2022 in an edition of 166 bottles.

Nose : barley malt, sea breeze, vanilla, caramel, unripe bananas, green grapes, coconut water, white pepper and toasted oak.

Palate: vanilla, caramel, honey, salted peanuts, lemon peel, apples, grapes, oak, a touch of ginger and white pepper.

Finish: medium long, with notes of sea salt, vanilla, caramel, summer fruits, white pepper and oak.
