Product description
In 1833 the Edmonstone family built the Burnfoot Distillery (operating as the Glengoyne Distillery from 1905).
The last change of ownership came in 2003, when Ian Macleod Distillers bought it from the Edrington Group, along with its whisky stock, for £7.2m. Over the years, Ian Macleod Distillers have done an exemplary job of branding and building a sales proposition, and their goal of selling a million bottles of Glengoyne single malt a year has not proven too ambitious. The Glengoyne 15 year old presented here was launched in 2012, blended from first-fill sherry and bourbon casks, with a small addition of refill casks. In 2016, the whisky won a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirit Competition.
