Product description
The First Editions is a series of single cask whiskies from the Edition Spirits Ltd. portfolio. The whiskies are always bottled in cask strength, with a natural colour and without chill filtration.
The company was founded in 2010 by Andrew and Scott Laing, sons of Stewart Laing, previously co-owner of Douglas Laing & Co. and currently a director of Hunter Laing & Co. Since 2013, Edition Spirits has operated as a subsidiary of Hunter Laing & Co., with the casks selected exclusively by the Laing brothers. The Royal Brackla presented here, distilled in 2007, spent over 15 years in a bourbon cask (HL 19733). In 2022, its contents translated into 162 bottles of whisky at 56.6% abv. The Royal Brackla Distillery is based in the Highlands and has two pairs of stills and can produce 4.2 million litres of distillate per year.
