Product description
Signatory Vintage, founded by Andrew and Brian Symington in 1988, is one of the leading independent whisky bottling companies.
Not many remember today that the Symingtons started with only £100,000 and within the first five years were close to bankruptcy more than once. The name ‘Signatory’ derived from the fact, that the Symingtons initial intention was to find someone famous to sign the labels for bottles produced from one single cask. The first cask they purchased was 1968 Glenlivet, which they bottled and sold long before they could find a famous person. Here is Benriach distilled on May 24, 2000 and aged in first refill Oloroso sherry butt # 2 for 22 years. The whisky was bottled at natural strength of 59% abv on July 18, 2022 with an outrun of 693 bottles.
