Product description
Glenfarclas Distillery has been famous for its strict wood policy and employing sherry wood for maturing whisky with an emphasis on ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
The owners also proudly claim not aging their spirit in fresh bourbon barrels and express their reluctance to experiments with different wood, or as they call it, “weird casks”. The strategy seems to be working, the brand sells now north of 2.3 million bottles annually and enjoys enormous loyalty among whisky drinkers. Glenfarclas Christmas Edition 2022 was distilled in 2010 and aged solely in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The whisky was bottled at 46% abv exclusively for the German market with an outrun of 5400 bottles.
