Product description
The densely populated, even overpopulated world of whisky aficionados often looks for alternatives.
Numerous Scotch whisky enthusiasts at various stages of their interest in single malts look for other spirits, and most often come across rum. It is from among whisky lovers that a lot of renowned rum aficionados hail. It was also the case of a group of Danes who were offered a taste of exquisite rum while attending a whisky festival in Scotland. The Danish 1423 World Class Spirits company is a case in point. It started with a cask no. 1423 of a rum from Trinidad, the number immortalized in the company name. There soon came other casks. And the rest is history. The company is now recognised as one of the leading bottlers of fine rum. The S.B.S (Single Barrel Selection) series comprises of rums bottled at their most natural, straight from single casks. The S.B.S Origin series consists of unaged rums, selected for their powerful profile and flavour. Those are rums already known from the original S.B.S series, however the bottler gives us an opportunity of tasting them at source, without the influence of barrel maturation. They can be consumed neat, on the rocks or in cocktails.
S.B.S Origin Guyana PM is a white, unaged rum from an undisclosed distillery in Guyana. Made from molasses, distilled in a traditional pot still.
Nose: Interesting spicy and salty notes with a touch of dried dates and roasted corn.
Palate: Surprisingly mild, sweet and chewy with notes of flambéed marshmellows, cotton candy and fine bitterness in the finish.
