Product description
In 2021, Burn Stewart Distillers, owner of the Black Bottle blender since 2003, launched the “Alchemy Series.”
The series is dedicated to the “whisky alchemists”, in this case the Graham brothers, creators of the original Black Bottle formula in 1879. The first two releases, Double Cask and Island Smoke, were a huge success and a year later two more were released – Andean Oak and Smoke & Dagger. They were created by Black Bottle blender Julieann Fernandez and Distell Group master distiller Brendan McCarron. Smoke & Dagger is the smokiest and peatiest version of Black Bottle; the main character in its formula is Bunnahabhain Mòine. What’s more, the single grain whiskies used in the blend were finished in whisky casks with a similar profile. Black Bottle Smoke & Dagger is bottled at 46.3% abv, without chill filtration.
