Product description
The history of Dictador rum begins in 1751, when Severo Arango Ferro arrived in Cartagena de Indias to control and strengthen trade between Spain and its overseas colony.
Thanks to his knowledge and strength, he quickly gained the nickname Dictador. Charmed by the taste and elegance of the rum he produced, he became the largest producer and seller of this drink. 160 years later, in 1913, Dictador's descendant founded the Destileria Columbiana company, becoming the best rum producer in the Caribbean region after many years. The third generation of the Arango family created the Dictador Europe project, starting the international expansion of this brand.
Dictador Platinum is an extraordinary rum, produced on the basis of noble syrup from the juice of the first pressing of sugar cane. It is distilled in a modern stainless steel still, then matured in sherry and port barrels, subjected to additional internal burning to caramelize and release the sweet aromas of oak. Then the best barrels from each vintage are selected to create this extraordinary composition. Awarded with gold medals at competitions in 2017 in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
