Product description
In 2017, Glenfiddich Distillery launched its “Experimental Series” with the IPA Experiment and Project XX editions.
This series breaks the established canons of whisky production, giving it a new, almost limitless dimension. The inspiration for the fifth edition presented here was a meeting between Master Distiller Brian Kinsman and Matilda Temperley, Master Distiller of Somerset Cider Brandy Company. This family company based in southwest England is the producer of Somerset Pomona, a blend of apple brandy and apple juice. Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment has spent the last four months in Somerset Pomona Spirit casks and is the only single malt finished in similar casks. This edition recorded a market debut in April 2022.
Aroma : fruits from grandma's orchard, apples, pears, peaches, grapes, vanilla, honey, milk fudge, sweet bread and light oak tones.
Taste: quite sweet, vanilla pudding, caramel, toffee, apple bun, pears, a bit of cinnamon, white pepper and oak.
Finish : medium long, with notes of vanilla, baked apples, rose water, a pinch of kitchen spices and oak.
