Product description
Godet is a family-owned company, a renowned cognac producer based in La Rochelle, whose roots date back to 1782.
Some 200 years later, it was taken over by Grand Metropolitan, which merged with Guinness to form Diageo. In the 1990s, the family managed to buy the company back and now emphasizes that it has been producing cognac for 15 generations. Osokyé, the distillery’s first single malt whisky, is named after the farm in the Lorraine region where the family grows barley. The whisky is distilled in a small steel still, usually used for cognac, and bottled in small batches. The Osokyé Series Nº5 presented here was finished in Moscatel barrels and numbered 7,700 bottles.
