Product description
The Old Bardstown brand comes from the portfolio of Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, which shares property with Willett Distillery.
The latter resumed distilling in 2012 after decades of renovations, and the new releases are based on the fruits of its own distillation. The bottle presented here contains whiskey from an undisclosed Kentucky producer, probably Heaven Hill. The name Old Bardstown refers to the town and a racehorse from the 1950s who, in 31 starts, won 18 first places, 7 second places, and finished third once. In total, he earned his owners $628,725 for his starts in races, which was more than a lot in the 1950s. The Old Bardstown Black Label presented here is bottled at 45% ABV (90 US Proof).
