Product description
Fettercairn Distillery, based in the Eastern Highlands, is equipped with two pairs of stills and produces around 3.2 million litres of alcohol a year.
Built and registered in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay, it is considered the second officially licensed distillery in Scotland after the Glenlivet Distillery. Since 1973, Fettercairn has been owned by Whyte & Mackay, and the lion's share of the single malt produced there goes into the blends it creates. In 2018, the company announced the construction of a new sales offer, including whiskies aged from 12 to 50 years, and a change in presentation (new bottles and labels). The Fettercairn 18 years old presented here was aged in first and refill bourbon barrels and finished in Scottish oak barrels.
