Product description
In 2011, Ian Macleod Distillers acquired Tamdhu Distillery from the Edrington Group.
Tamdhu is a medium-sized distillery, equipped with three pairs of stills, can produce 4 million liters of distillate per year (currently using about 75% of its capacity). Ian Macleod decided to use only sherry casks in the maturation process. Tamdhu Quercus Alba Distinction, a limited edition from 2021, was composed of distillates aged in American oak barrels (Quercus Alba). The wood is transported to Spain, there cut into planks and dried in the air. The finished barrels are seasoned with Oloroso sherry and after the cycle is finished, they are sent to Scotland.
