Product description
Sipsmith Gin debuted in 2009 as a London Dry to rave reviews.
The Sipsmith London Dry formula lists 10 botanicals from around the world – Macedonian juniper, Seville orange peel, Spanish lemon peel, Italian orris root, Belgian angelica root, Madagascar cinnamon, Chinese cassia bark, Spanish almonds and Bulgarian coriander. Sipsmith gin is distilled in small batches of around 400 bottles. The recipe for the Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin presented here includes an additional portion of lemon peel, fresh lemon and lemon verbena. Sipsmith Distillery is based in London and is the first distillery to open in the city in almost 200 years. The distillery also owns a black London taxi, which it has converted into a mobile bar. In 2015, the company won a tender to supply gin to the British House of Commons.
Sipsmith London Lemon Drizzle Gin reveals strong citrus and floral notes, sweet bread and traces of juniper. Its palette explodes with lemons (in various forms) complemented by vanilla, juniper and coriander. We recommend serving it with tonic (Mediterranean Tonic) and a mint leaf, an interesting suggestion is also Lemon Drizzle Spritz.
