Product description
Seamróg is a somewhat mysterious brand of Irish whiskey from the portfolio of German producer and importer of alcoholic beverages, Heinz Eggert GmbH.
The company has been operating since 1948 and currently specializes in rums; it is based in Bad Bevensen in Lower Saxony. The name Seamróg (Shamrock) means three-leaf clover, the unofficial symbol of Ireland. Little is known about the whiskey itself, apart from the fact that it is a single malt distilled in Ireland, aged for 10 years in American oak barrels and finished for 2.5 years in sherry cask(s). This limited edition (1060 bottles) is referred to as "The Last Cask", which could mean that it is the final casing of the brand.
