Highland Park Cask Strength made its global debut in fall 2020.

It was the first whisky from this distillery bottled in a cask strength version permanently included in the basic offer. In the coming years, the distillery has announced further cask strength editions, which will be based on different selections of casks. The third edition presented here has been combined with a larger share of distillates produced with the use of local, aromatic peat (there are very few trees in Orkney, hence the basic building block of local peat is heather). Mainly fresh seasoned sherry casks (American and European oak) and a small number of refill casks were used for maturation. Between 2012 and 2019, sales of Highland Park increased by 100%, exceeding the number of 2.2 million bottles.

Nose: peat smoke, heather honey, toffee, candied orange and lemon peel, raisins, milk chocolate, cinnamon, anise, notes of vanilla, sherry and oak.

Palate : milk chocolate, honey, hazelnuts, raisins, mango, orange jam, vanilla, a drop of violet liqueur, fennel and peat smoke in the background.

Finish : quite long, with notes of honey, nougat, milk chocolate, dried plums, pink grapefruit and peat smoke.
