Product description
Lawrenny's property is located in Tasmania, about an hour's drive northwest of Hobart.
Its original owner was Edward Lord, who bred cattle and sheep, wheat, barley and hops on 80 thousand acres. Since 1991 the property (with a significantly reduced area) has been owned by the Mace family, who restored it to its former glory and built a small distillery to produce whisky, vodka and gin. The Tasmanian highlands captivate with their natural beauty, there are over 3000 lakes connected by rivers and unique fauna and flora. The key components of the gin presented here are juniper berries, blue cypress needles, fresh mint, dried peppermint, chamomile, grains of paradise, cubeb pepper, grapefruit, dried peel of bitter oranges and buchu leaves. Distillation is supervised by Joe Dinsmoor, whose CV includes Lark Distillery. In 2019, this gin won a silver medal at the Australian Gin Awards.
Lawrenny Highlands is a very refreshing gin with notes of citrus, orange and grapefruit, balanced by blue cypress and buchu, with omnipresent mint tones. Additional spice is added by cubeb pepper and grains of paradise broken by ginger and chamomile.
The manufacturer recommends serving it with Indian Tonic Water and a slice of pink grapefruit.
