Product description
Tamnavulin (the mill on the hill in the Gaelic) is fairly new, modern Speyside distillery built in 1966 by Invergordon Distillers Ltd.
Since 1993 it has been owned by Whyte & Mackay, one of the leading producers of blended whisky, acquired by Emperador Inc. in 2014. Tamnavulin was mothballed from1995 to 2007 but currently works at full capacity producing 4 million liters of spirit per annum. Most of the output goes into Whyte & Mackay blends but in recent years the company introduced more than few single malt expressions. Tamnavulin White Wine Cask Edition was launched in the early 2022 following success of Red Wine Cask Series. Here we have whisky originally aged in American oak barrels then finished in Sauvignon Blanc casks.
