Product description
Tamnavulin Distillery is situated on the River Livet and was built in 1966 by Invergordon Distillers Ltd. The word 'Tamnavulin' translates from Gaelic to 'mill on the hill'.
Since 1993, the plant has been part of the Whyte & Mackay group, which in turn was taken over by the Philippine Emperador Inc. in 2014. Tamnavulin did not distill between 1995 and 2007, but is currently operating at full steam, producing 4 million liters of distillate annually. In 2020, the Red Wine Cask Edition series debuted, containing whiskeys aged in American white oak barrels, finished in red wine barrels and bottled without an age statement. The herald presented here was finished in French Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
