Product description
Bimber Distillery, based in West London, has been operating since 2016.
It was founded by Dariusz Płażewski, a Polish emigrant whose grandfather produced moonshine himself during the Polish People's Republic's alcohol rationing. This small distillery became famous as a producer of single malt whisky, but their first products were vodka and gin. Gin is produced in a copper still based on wheat spirit. Bimber London Dry Gin debuted at the end of 2016 and gained considerable popularity. One of the latest offerings is Bimber Kumquat Gin presented here. Its formula contains eight botanical ingredients - juniper berries, coriander seeds, orris and angelica roots, lemons, oranges, grapefruits and, of course, kumquats. Kumquats, also known as dwarf oranges, come from China and produce incredibly sweet fruit.
Bimber Kumquat Gin is one of the most citrusy gins we have ever encountered. Its aromatic and flavorful bouquet includes tangerines, pink grapefruits and apricots, perfectly balanced by juniper berries, lemongrass and a pinch of black pepper. This gin tastes great with just an ice cube or a delicate tonic.
