Product description
Langley's London Dry Gin (originally Langley's No. 8) is the result of a collaboration between Mark Dawkins and Mark Crump, owners of Charter Brands, and WH Palmer Group, owner of Langley's Distillery.
Based in Warley in the West Midlands, this contract distillery was founded in 1902 and has never previously used its own name as a brand. Langley's London Dry is distilled in small copper stills from 100% English-grown grain using eight botanicals: Macedonian juniper berries, Bulgarian coriander seeds, Spanish orange and lemon peel, Indonesian cinnamon bark, Ceylon nutmeg and two additional secrets. The gin was launched in 2013 and won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition the following year. It is delicious served in a Dry Martini or with Schweppes tonic. (Producer's note.)
Aroma : intense notes of juniper, pine needles, lavender, lemon zest, coriander, sage and a trace of violets.
Palate : Rich notes of juniper and pine, a bit of lemon, followed by citrus sweetness and a touch of licorice; a fairly spicy finish with a hint of pepper.
