Product description
Glendronach is a small distillery based in the Highlands. Built in 1826 by James Allardes, in 1960 it passed into the ownership of William Teacher & Sons, who doubled the number of stills to four.
Glendronach has remained closely associated with Teacher's blends, acting as their "flavorful garnish." From 2008 to 2016, Glendronach enjoyed its triumphs under the management of the BenRiach Distillery Company. In the summer of 2016, the American conglomerate Brown-Forman acquired its assets (including the BenRiach, GlenDronach and GlenGlassaugh distilleries) for $416 million. Distilled on June 5, 1992, the whisky presented here spent 26 years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon cask no. 8316, and was bottled at 51.8% abv for La Maison du Whisky in Paris in an edition of 680 bottles.
