Product description
Giffard & Cie is a renowned producer of liqueurs and bar syrups based in Avrillé in western France. The company was founded in 1885 by Émile Giffard in nearby Angers.
Émile, a graduate of the Pharmacy Department at the University of Poitiers and owner of a chemist's, experimented a lot with peppermint and in 1885, during an unusually hot year, he developed the formula for Menthe-Pastille liqueur, suitable for serving both before and after a meal. The success of Menthe-Pastille was so great that it prompted Giffard to end his career as a chemist and buy a small distillery. Today, the fifth generation of the family manages the company, whose offer has grown over the years to over a hundred products. Key positions are held by Émile's great-great-grandchildren, Bruno Giffard and his sister Edith.
Giffard Coffe bartender's liqueur
Excellent quality, delicate liqueur with a strong and rich aroma of coffee. This quality is already revealed by the color - dark with brown reflections, aromas of roasted coffee beans are no surprise, although the charm and finesse with which this aroma develops are worth noting. In the mouth, the taste of coffee is initially delicate and gives the impression of being soft, gaining intensity from second to second, combined with notes of roasted hazelnuts and vanilla.
It goes very well with vodka and rum, allowing you to create well-known cocktails, but giving them a new quality.
