Product description
Kentucky Owl's roots date back to 1879. The original distillery was located in Mercer County, Kentucky, and was owned by CM
Dedman; it ended in 1916. In 2014, Dixon Dedman revived the brand, but sold it to Stoli Group three years later. The blender is currently held by former Four Roses manager John Rhea. The last Kentucky Owl editions were released in partnership with Bardstown Bourbon Company, and that is the case with this rye whiskey. It is distilled in Bardstown from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and aged for at least four years in fresh American oak barrels. The whiskey debuted in the spring of 2022.
