The history of the Arehucas rum factory dates back to 1884, when the Fábrica de San Pedro was officially opened in Arucas on the island of Gran Canaria in the Spanish archipelago of the Canary Islands.
The factory was primarily involved in the production of cane sugar, but distillates based on it were also one of the product groups. La Fábrica soon gained the privilege of being an official supplier to the Spanish royal court.
Arehucas Capitan Kidd is a 30-year-old rum from Gran Canaria, made from molasses, column distilled and matured in oak barrels.
Nose : Fruity and sweet, with notes of caramel, toffee, orange, honey and spices.
Taste : Light and smooth, slightly oily, notes of leather, fruit, oak, orange and spices.
Finish : Long, oaky, caramel and spicy.
