Product description
Timorous Beastie Blended Malt debuted in the fall of 2014 as the third instalment in the Douglas Laing & Co. Remarkable Regional Malts Collection.
The range currently consists of six blended malts that reflect the character of each whisky region. The Timorous Beastie is based on single malts from the Highlands, including Dalmore, Glengoyne, Glen Garioch and Blair Athol. According to Fred Laing, “it is the quintessence of the Highlands,” and its name refers to a poem by Scottish bard Robert Burns called To a Mouse, written after he destroyed a mouse nest on his farm. This limited edition Meet the Beast from 2022 features whisky aged in ex-bourbon casks for a minimum of 13 years and bottled at 52.5% abv. 3,000 bottles have been released.
