Product description
The Gauldrons is one of six whiskies that make up Douglas Laing & Co.’s Remarkable Regional Malts series.
Launched in 2017, its name translates from the Gaelic for “bay of storms,” referring to the sandy bays dotted along the coastline of West Campbeltown. The whisky is bottled in small batches and experiences annual limited releases. 2022 saw the release of The Gauldrons blended malt, finished for the first time in sherry casks. 2,125 bottles were released. Other “extraordinary regional malts” include Timorous Beastie (Highlands), Scallywag (Speyside), Big Peat (Islay) Rock Oyster (the Islands) and The Epicurean (Lowlands).
