Product description
Douglas Laing & Co. was owned for over 40 years by brothers Fred and Stewart Laing.
In 2013, the brothers divided its assets and started their own business. The Provenance series remained in the Douglas Laing & Co. portfolio, now owned by Fred. Early 2015 brought a change in the graphic design – while the previous presentation referred to the season, the current one emphasizes the region in which the distillery is located. The publisher does not reveal which distillery the whisky presented here comes from, directing the consumer's attention to "probably the most distinguished distillery in Orkney". Distilled in January 2015, it spent over 5 years in a re-charred butt cask (no. DL 14112), and was bottled in July 2020 without chill filtration in an edition of 458 bottles.
