Product description
In late 2020, Douglas Laing & Co. once again expanded its popular Old Particular series, this time with The Midnight Series.
It consists of single malts aged in sherry casks and bottled in single cask. The label with a slumbering moon clearly suggests evening, contemplative sipping of these whiskies. The Craigellachie 15 year old presented here, distilled in May 2006, after maturing in refill casks, finished in a sherry butt no. DL 15424, and bottled at cask strength (57.9% abv) in December 2021 in an edition of 625 bottles. Craigellachie Distillery is located in the heart of Speyside and equipped with two pairs of stills can produce over 4 million litres of alcohol per year. The plant is owned by John Dewar & Sons, a subsidiary of Bacardi Ltd., and the majority of its production goes into Dewar's blends.
