Benriach 12-year-old (Distilled 1969), Connoisseurs Choice / 40%/ 0.75l
- Connoisseurs Choice is an old whisky label from Gordon & MacPhail’s portfolio.
Product description
The Connoisseurs Choice series debuted in 1968 in the Gordon & MacPhail offering.
Its creator was George Urquhart, a second-generation member of the family who owned the company, and a great visionary of whisky at a time when most Scottish malt distilleries produced for blenders, not even considering promoting their whiskies as single malts. Today, over half a century later, the “Connoisseur’s Choice” successfully competes on the single malt market and has its devoted fans. The Benriach 12 year old presented here is undoubtedly one of the unique examples of the series, distilled in 1969, when the distillery operated as part of The Longmorn-Glenlivet Distilleries Ltd.
