Built in 1895, Dufftown Distillery is based in, as you might guess, the capital of Scotch whisky, Dufftown.
In 1933 it was taken over by Arthur Bell & Sons and since then it has been closely associated with Bell's blends. Currently equipped with three pairs of stills it produces 6 million liters of distillate per year. In 2006 Dufftown was included in the Singleton series and within a few years significantly strengthened its position on the European market. The Singleton of Dufftown 25 years old Trinity Cask Harmony presented here is composed of distillates aged in barrels of American and European oak. Their marriage takes place in toasted bourbon barrels.
Nose : mild, fruity, oranges, cantaloupe, pineapples, sultanas, vanilla, toffee, honey, cinnamon, cloves, a touch of ginger and toasted oak.
Palate : fruity and spicy, apples, pears, passion fruit, oranges, melons, vanilla, honey, milk chocolate, white pepper, cinnamon, ginger and toasted oak.
Finish: long, with notes of tropical fruits, honey, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon, allspice, ginger and oak.
