Product description
Naga is a mythical creature from the Asian culture. It is a kind of a serpent symbolizing prosperity and fertility, a guardian of the treasures of nature.
In Hindu legends, Nagas live in the underworld where they guard the treasures of the earth. The Naga rums are an embodiment of Asian sugare cane cultivation and rum-making traditions. They are manufactured on the island of Java, and are a link between traditional Caribbean rums and the local speciality called Batavian Arrack. The Arrack is a spirit made from red rice, coconut sap or fruits. In the case of Naga, it is a molasses-based rum, but at the fermentation stage some yeast from red rice are used. Naga Malacca is a spirit distilled in a column still and macerated for a long time with natural extracts of kumquat bark, jambu, lemongrass and coriander. Its bouquet is dominated by the notes of oranges and vanilla.
