Product description
The Transcontinental Rum Line (TCRL for short) is a line of rums bottled by a French distributor specializing mainly in whisky, but also offering other spirits, including rum.
La Maison du Whisky, because that's what we're talking about, offers short, limited editions of rums from Caribbean rum factories. These are often editions from a single barrel. Their common feature is the fact that they are matured twice - first in the tropical conditions of the place of production, after which the rum is brought to Europe for the final stage of maturation. Transcontinental Rum Line debuted in 2016.
Transcontinental Rum Line El Salvador 2007 is a rum from an undisclosed distillery in El Salvador. It is a traditional molasses-based rum. It was matured in a single American bourbon oak barrel for 14 years, first for 10.6 years in the tropical climate of El Salvador, then for another 3.4 years in Europe. Bottled in 2022 in a limited edition of 245 bottles.
