Product description
Akkeshi Distillery began operations in the fall of 2016. It is equipped with two Scottish stills and can produce 300,000 liters of distillate per year.
The distillery is located on the island of Hokkaido, in a remote area covered with marshes and peat bogs, and the local climate is similar to the climate of the island of Islay. Akkeshi offers both single malt and blended whiskies, and the "24 Solar term series" collection deserves special attention in the offer, inspired by the old Asian calendar dividing the year into 24 solar seasons. Akkeshi Shosho is the fourth edition of the series and refers to the season between late summer and early autumn, when the harvest begins. The whisky is a blend of its own single malt distillates and imported single grain distillates aged on site; it is also the winner of the "World Whisky Awards" competition for the best blended whisky of 2022. The edition consisted of 10,000 bottles.
