Product description
One of our most mysterious bottles of whisky. There is no doubt that this is Glenfiddich distilled in 1961 and bottled for Zenith Italia SRI in April 1984 at 45% abv.
Zenith Italia itself remains an unsolved mystery, and we also don't know who bottled it. William Grant & Sons introduced the characteristic triangular bottles in the late 1950s, and we can assume that the edition presented here is not an official one (the label design differs from the official ones). The question of whether the company allowed independent bottlers to bottle their whisky as Glenfiddich in the 1980s remains unanswered today. We are convinced, however, that "Zenith Italia" is one of the most unusual Glenfiddiches on the market today. (The website whiskyfun.com lists this whisky as officially bottled and describes it as excellent).
