Balvenie Triple Cask debuted in 2013 in the Travel Retail offer .

As the name suggests, the whisky comes from three types of casks – first-fill bourbon, Oloroso sherry and barrels in which the whisky was previously aged (so-called refill cask ). After the maturation is completed, the distillates are poured into huge vats to integrate the individual aromatic and flavor elements, resulting in a whisky with a multi-layered palette. The Triple Cask edition also offers a 16- and 25-year-old version.

Nose: sweet and rich, strong fruity notes, vanilla, honey, sweet spices and oak.

Taste : a beautiful balance of vanilla-honey sweetness, raisins, dried plums, sweetened lemon juice and cinnamon.

Finish: sweet, creamy with a distinct spicy note.
