Since 2011, St. Lucia Distillers has been creating a unique blend of rums to celebrate the founding of the Dennery Distillery in 1931.
The distillery was founded by Denis Barnard and produced rum until 1972, when the current Roseau distillery was established, operating on the west coast of Santa Lucia. The Fifth Edition was created in 2015 and is a blend of distillates aged 6 to 11 years, from the rectification column (71%) and distillates aged 7 to 11 years, from traditional copper stills (29%). A total of 25 barrels were used to blend it, mainly American bourbon, and partly port.
Aroma : Toasted oak, sweet raisins, leather, tobacco.
Taste : Rich, full, with accents of sultana raisins, oak and notes of fresh, aromatic grass from the part of the distillate that was created on the basis of fresh cane juice (rum agricole).
