Product description
The Macallan Masters of Photography: Magnum Edition celebrates the opening of the new The Macallan Distillery, which was completed in late autumn 2017 and opened to the public the following summer.
The collection of photographs by six world-famous photographers – Steve McCurry, Martin Parr, Paolo Pellegrin, Georgui Pinkhassov, Mark Power and Alec Soth – captures every aspect of the new distillery, from the genesis of the project to its completion, and provides an artistic portrait of the place and its people. This unique edition is presented in a very elegant, album-style slipcase and consists of a set of six photographs signed by their authors (one from each of them), a book dedicated to the photography, a certificate and, of course, a special edition of The Macallan single malt. (Tasting Note by Sarah Burgess, The Macallan Whisky Maker.)
Aroma : subtle notes of peat intertwined with the warming spiciness of ginger and oak; behind them, slowly and timidly, the aromas of tangerines and caramelized apple emerge.
Taste : candied dried fruit and caramel sweetness enriched with a delicate note of spices and honey-roasted nuts.
Finish: medium long, ending with earthy peat notes.
