Château du Breuil is, above all, a renowned calvados producer, a company with a long tradition located in Normandy, France.
For some time now, however, in addition to producing calvados, the company has also been involved in obtaining, maturing and bottling rum. These spirits, under the name Rum Explorer, are bottled in France and partially matured on the estate, the centerpiece of which is a historic château.
Rum Explorer Barbados is a molasses rum made at the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. A blend of still and column still distillates. The limited edition is from the 2016 vintage and was matured first in French oak barrels before being transferred to American oak barrels that had previously matured calvados. Bottled in 2022.
Aroma : Aromatic, with notes of caramel, banana and tropical fruits.
Taste : Light, notes of tropical fruits, vanilla, spices.
Finish: Long, oak and spice.
