Ratu Dark Rum is produced in Fiji by Rum Co. of Fiji.

The brand's spirits are made in Fiji's only rum distillery, commonly known as the South Pacific Distillery. It is located in Lautoka on the island of Fiji and was launched in 1980.

Ratu Dark is a spirit produced on the basis of molasses, composed of 50% distillates from the column still and 50% from distillates from the traditional alembic. Subjected to a minimum of 5 years of maturation in oak barrels after American bourbon. The maturation is completed with an infusion of mocha oak shavings, and then the rum is filtered through charcoal resulting from burning coconut shells.

Nose : Burnt caramel, molasses, licorice, oak, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, some herbal and menthol notes.

Taste : Spicy notes, caramel, oak, cocoa, vanilla.

Finish: Medium long, spicy.
