Product description
Distillerie Radermacher has been operating since 1836, making it the oldest distillery in Belgium.
Its headquarters is in Raeren, in Wallonia, close to the German border. Radermacher is a renowned producer of “craft” spirits, including whiskey, gin, rum, vodka, liqueurs and aperitifs. The company is headed by Bernard Zacharias, representing the fifth generation of the founding family, and recently his daughter Line. In 2014, the company entered the market with a collection of organic spirits, including gin. Its basic formula includes juniper berries, elderberry, bergamot, lemon and orange peel, coriander seed, angelica root, cardamom, lavender and cinnamon. In the case of the limited “winter edition” presented here, it has been joined by vanilla, star anise and tea leaves. The base of the gin is an organic grain distillate.
1836 Organic Winter Gin carries the breath of the holidays and the spices that accompany them. In its bouquet we find cinnamon, vanilla, a little anise, notes of juniper and orange peel. We recommend serving it neat or with Schweppes tonic, a slice of lemon and a mint leaf.
