Product description
Bowmore is one of the oldest Scottish distilleries still in operation (established in 1779), while Berry Bros.
& Rudd, a London-based trading company, was founded almost a century earlier (1690) and initially traded in wines and food. Since the Regency of George III, BB&R has been a supplier to the royal court; it now employs eight ‘Masters of Wine’ and has a stock of over 4,000 wines and spirits. In 2021, Parisian distributor La Maison du Whisky contracted Berry Bros. & Rudd to release a single cask edition of Bowmore. They chose hogshead cask no. 803730, containing whisky distilled in 1998 and aged for 22 years. The whisky was bottled at cask strength (50.6%) and unchill-filtered, in an edition of 257 bottles.
