Product description
Auchentoshan Distillery was built in 1823 on the outskirts of Glasgow (its buildings are situated between the Kilpatrick Hills and the River Clyde).
The plant is equipped with three stills and can produce around 2.5 million liters of distillate per year. It is also the only Scottish distillery using only three-stage distillation, and its so-called middle cut is very narrow - the collection of spirit begins at 82% abv and ends at 80%. In recent years, the brand's sales have been very dynamic, in 2020 it was 1.8 million bottles. The plant does not shy away from experiments with finishing maturation, the edition presented here offers whisky aged in American oak barrels and finished in Sauvignon Blanc barrels. The producer recommends serving it chilled.
