Product description
Braes of Glenlivet (known as Braeval Distillery since 1994) is a young, modern distillery based in the Glenlivet district.
It was built in 1973 by Chivas Bros., then part of the Seagram group. The plant is fully computerized and equipped with 6 stills, produces 4 million liters of distillate per year. Almost all of it goes into Chivas blends and for decades we have been waiting for the official single malt version; it was released in June 2019 in the prestigious "Secret Speyside" series. The Braes of Glenlivet 30 years old presented here was part of the third series of the "Secret Speyside Collection". The whisky was aged in bourbon barrels and hogsheads (American oak) and bottled at cask strength (50.9% abv) in August 2021, as batch BG/003.
