Product description

The Single Cask Ltd. was founded in 2010 by Ben Curtis (initially operating as Malt Vault Company).

It has offices in London and Singapore, and in addition to its own whisky line, it has a bar and a retail store. The company offers only single cask whiskies bottled in their natural color, at cask strength and without chill filtration. The Lochindaal presented here, distilled at the Bruichladdich distillery on September 1, 2009, spent 12 years in a first-fill bourbon barrel no. 76, and was bottled on September 2, 2021 in an edition of 229 bottles. Bruichladdich Distillery (founded in 1881) is currently owned by Rèmy Cointreau and, equipped with two pairs of pot stills, produces around 2 million liters of distillate per year.

Nose : sea breeze, barley malt, smoked meat, vanilla, honey, toffee, baked apples, lemon pepper, notes of camphor, oak and peat.

Palate: sweet peat, lemons, grilled meat, salted caramel, milk chocolate, walnuts, lemongrass, white pepper, a pinch of cinnamon and oak.

Finish: quite long, with notes of vanilla, honey, white pepper, cigar ash, a touch of menthol and oak.
