Product description
Today, Tomatin is a medium-sized distillery based in the Highlands, owned by the Japanese company Takara Shuzo, part of the Marubeni Group.
In the 1970s, Tomatin was the largest Scottish malt distillery, and currently has a production capacity of just under 6 million litres. The whisky from there is one of the main components of the Antiquary and Talisman blends, and is also becoming increasingly popular in the single malt version. The Tomatin presented here, distilled in March 2012, spent over 5 years in cask no. 949, and was bottled at cask strength (59.8% abv) in the Malt Legends series in 2017 for the German market. Unfortunately, we do not have any information about "Malt Legends".
