Product description
Single malt Aureum is a product of Brennerei Ziegler based in southern Germany.
The distillery was founded in 1865 and has been producing fruit brandies for over 150 years. In the 21st century, the owners began distilling whisky, which debuted in 2010 under the name Aureum. It is distilled from locally grown barley, and maturation is done in bourbon, sherry and port casks, as well as chestnut barrels. While the vast majority of the offer consists of “unpeated” whiskies, it was recently joined by Aureum 1865 Peated in a 5-year-old version, which uses refill bourbon, sherry and port casks.
