Product description
Springbank, the fourteenth distillery officially registered in Campbeltown, is located in the centre of a town that was once known as the ‘Capital of Scotch Whisky’ a hundred years ago.
The glory days are long gone and Campbeltown now boasts just three distilleries (Springbank, Glengyle and Glen Scotia) producing less than a million litres of spirit a year. The first two are owned by J. & A. Mitchell & Co. and pride themselves on the fact that all their whisky is made under one roof. This limited edition, part of the Private Bottling series, is a real eye-catcher in any collection. Distilled in 1993, it spent around a quarter of a century in a fresh sherry cask (no. 341) and was bottled at 57.7% abv without chill filtration in 2018 in an edition of 341 bottles.
