Beam Suntory is currently the third largest producer of distilled alcoholic beverages (behind Diageo and Pernod Ricard) with global annual sales exceeding $3 billion.

The company owns whisky distilleries in Scotland, Ireland, the United States, Canada and Japan. In October 2020, Suntory Ao World Whisky debuted in the Travel Retail chain, blended by the master blender Shinjii Fukuyo. In his creation, the master based himself on distillates from all of the above countries: Ardmore and Glen Garioch (Scotland), Cooley (Ireland), Jim Beam (USA), Alberta (Canada) and Yamazaki and Hakushu (Japan). The name of the whisky means "blue" and refers to the ocean that connects the aforementioned distilleries from different continents into one whole.

Nose: delicate, honeyed cereals, vanilla cream, bananas, pineapples, oranges, fresh herbs, cinnamon, toasted oak and a fleeting trace of smoke.

Palate: mild, vanilla, honey, milk chocolate, marzipan, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves, toasted oak and a hint of smoke.

Finish : medium long, with notes of vanilla, apples, pears, white pepper, herbs, toasted oak and a hint of smoke.
